BANGALORE: The Common Entrance Test (CET) 2012 will be held on May 21 and 22. Nearly 1,20,945 candidates are appearing for the test, of which 31,622 candidates are taking the examination in the city. The test will be conducted in 248 centres across the state, of which 60 are in the city. On May 21, the Biology test (for 60 marks) will be conducted between 10.30 am and 11.50 am. The same day, a test for Mathematics (for 60 marks) will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm. On May 22, the Physics test (for 60 marks) will be conducted from 10.30 am to 11.50 am. The same day, a test for Chemistry (for 60 marks) will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm.The Kannada language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be conducted on May 23 from 10.30 am to 11.30 am at three centres in Bangalore and 1,551 candidates have registered for this test. The Superintendents of Police in all districts have been requested to make suitable arrangements by deputing sufficient number of police personnel at all the centres and also to ensure adequate security to all the district treasuries and sub-treasuries. A total of 248 observers, 496 special invigilation squad members, 248 custodians and around 7,500 invigilators have been deployed to discharge the examination duties.
