HYDERABAD: After getting two berths in the State Cabinet under his quota, Tirupati MLA K Chiranjeevi is now concentrating on the overall development of his constituency. The development of Tirupati and Tirumala was the main agenda of the onetoone meeting between Chiranjeevi and chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who called on the MLA's residence on Wednesday.
Sources in Chiranjeevi's office said the actorturned politician wanted the Chief Minister to expedite the development works proposed in Tirupati at an estimated cost of Rs 405 crore. The works include augmenting drinking water supply, slum development, renovation of drainage system, construction of multilevel parking lots, laying of roads and others. It is learnt that the Chief Minister accepted the request of Chiranjeevi.Besides this, `80 lakh were sanctioned under MPLAD funds of T. Subbarami Reddy and JD Seelam for construction of community halls.
