THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Road lighting at 10 important junctions in the city and outskirts, including the main gate of the Attukal Bhagavathy Temple and Medical College, are set for a major makeover with the proposed installation of modern high-mast lights under Shashi Tharoor MP’s MPLADS funds for 2011-12.The MP’s office has informed that the necessary administrative orders have been issued by the Collector’s Office for the installation of 10 high-mast lights at these junctions at a cost of ` 42 lakh drawn from the MP funds of Shashi Tharoor. The 10 junctions at which these high-mast lights would be erected shortly are outside main gate of Attukal Bhagavathy Temple, Medical College Junction, Mannanthala Junction, Moideenpalli Vizhinjam Harbour Junction, Parithikuzhi Junction, Kuravankonam Junction, Vellaikadavu Junction, Vattiyoorkavu Junction, Estate Junction and Kovalam Bypass Road.
