HYDERABAD: Handlooms and textiles minister P Shankar Rao, who is considered chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's gadfly, has let out another barrage of words at the chief minister, this time asking him why he was keeping quiet when YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was lashing out at Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi.Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Shankar Rao said: "His (Kiran Kumar)'s silence intrigues me. He does not say a word against Jagan and I would like to know the reason for his silence."He accused some of the ministers, MPs and MLAS of being soft towards Jagan though he has been criticising Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.Shankar Rao said he would soon file petitions in the high court and CBI court seeking them to direct the CBI to arrest Jagan without any further delay. The CBI had arrested IAS officer Y Srilakshmi on the grounds that if she was allowed to move freely, she might tamper with the evidence in the illegal mining case. "I want the same principle be applied to Jagan Mohan Reddy since he too by using his clout could get the evidence tampered," he said.Shankar Rao reiterated that home minister Sabita Indra Reddy had collected money from police officers while effecting transfers. Shankar Rao suspected that the police were not arresting Bhanu Kiran, who is an accused in the murder of factionist Maddelacheruvu Suri, because Bhanu Kiran would spill beans on the involvement of home minister's son in the land deals. He found fault with the government for providing huge police force to Chandrababu Naidu's Warangal tour on Friday and said a minimum force was provided to him when he was attacked recently.
