HYDERABAD: The Congress and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy camp are preparing to deal with the no-confidence motion for which the TDP has given notice on Thursday.Though there is no immediate threat to Kiran Kumar Reddy government, he is doing his best to ensure that a majority of the Congress MLAs who are in Jagan Mohan Reddy camp would come home and back him.Though the J-camp boasts that there are not less than 22 MLAs willing to do anything for Jagan Mohan Reddy, including supporting the no confidence motion and run the risk of disqualification, the Congress camp dismisses it as empty rhetoric.According to Congress leaders, hardcore loyalists of Jagan Mohan Reddy might not be more than six at the best who will be doing his bidding however difficult and painful it might be.Meanwhile, Jagan Mohan Reddy appears to be keen on embarrassing the government to the extent possible and wants to tell his MLAs to back the no-confidence motion and not bother about losing their membership of the Assembly. He has already told them that in the event of byelections, he would take care of them by nominating them on YSRC ticket and providing enough resources to fight the election. The hardcore loyalists of Jagan Mohan Reddy met on the Assembly premises today and later spoke to Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was away in Guntur district but decided to give a break to the Odarpu Yatra and returned to Hyderabad. He is expected to discuss the strategy with them tomorrow morning.Meanwhile, Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botcha Satyanaryana met today and discussed how to wean away more MLAs who are on Jagan’s side. Three legislators, Golla Babu Rao, T Balajarju and Kunja Satyavathi, met the chief minister and pledged their loyalty to him.
