Congress workers not getting justice

KANNUR: The Congress leaders supporting K Sudhakaran MP have alleged that neither Congress nor UDF workers here were getting justice from the police. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, AICC member Suma Balakrishnan, K C Kadambooran, V A Narayanan and INTUC state general secretary K Surendran said that the Congress workers were not even getting justice and fair treatment that they received from the police during the rule of the LDF.They said that K Sudhakaran MP had expressed the feelings of Congress workers against the police at the recent meeting of the KPCC and that this might have prompted  district police chief Anup Kuruvila John to issue the directive to remove the flex board greeting the MP. They said that action should be taken against those who destroyed the flex boards of CM Oommen Chandy on the premises of the Collectorate. Criticising Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran, they said that he couldn’t understand the feelings of the Congress workers in the district. “We are the partymen who face the people and it is for us to face the criticism of the people against the police,” they said.
