Crew of Zheng He explores Kochi

KOCHI: The crew of the world-touring Chinese cadet training ship ‘Zheng He’, which hit the shores of Kochi on Wednesday, had an interactive session with their Indian counterparts here on Friday.The senior officials and trainees of the Chinese Navy visited the training facilities at the Southern Naval Command. They also visited Indian Navy’s Sail Training Ship ‘INS Sudarshini’. Indian Navy officials and cadets were accorded a warm reception when they boarded the Chinese ship.The two naval groups played friendly games of football and volleyball.As part of the official interactions, a joint band performance was also staged. ‘Zheng He’ will leave Kochi on Sunday after the five-day stopover.
