Washington: Hollywood actor Tom Cruise may have helped coin a new word with his couch jumping antics in The Oprah Winfrey Show, but former Playboy bunny Jenny McCarthy has slammed his exuberance as being the outcome of a midlife crisis.
The buxom blonde insists Cruise's over-enthusiastic display of his love for his fiancé Katie Holmes, 16 years his junior, was his way of showing that age has not affected his allure with young and attractive women.
"You realise so many things in your twenties that it takes until you're 30 to know whom you truly are," she was quoted by Contact music, as saying.
"You move on and get older and go through a mid-life crisis or a Tom Cruise crisis. Some guys buy Ferraris, some guys jump on Oprah's couch. It just depends," she added.
