According to IMD’s weather bulletin, the isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan on Sunday. Heavy downpour is also predicted in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during the next 2-3 days.
No Respite For Flood-Hit Assam, IMD Predicts More Heavy Rains
The IMD has predicted widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, and lightning over the East and Northeast India during the next 5 days.
According to the Met Department, isolated very heavy rainfall will lash Assam and Meghalaya during the next 2-3 days.
The met department has also predicted heavy downpur in Arunachal Pradesh from July 8 to July 10.
58 people have died in Assam due to the continuous incessant rainfall-triggered situation and nearly 24 lakh people have been affected across the state.
Heavy Rains Disrupt Train Services In Maharashtra
Maharashtra has been witnessing rains for a couple of days and the IMD has further predicted heavy downpours in the state during the next 3-4 days.
Amid the incessant rainfall, train services between Kalyan and Kasarahave been disrupted. The Central Railways stated, “Kalyan to Kasara has been made safe with restricted speed. Work in progress for restoring Kasara to the CSMT movement. Passengers are requested to kindly note.”
Heavy Rains To Hit Karnataka, Telangana And Andhra Pradesh
The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in Karnataka from July 7 to July 10 and in Telangana on July 8 and 9. Heavy downpour is also forecasted over Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours.
