Two men were killed and two other workers were grievously injured after a portion of a crane collapsed on them at a construction site inside the American embassy in New Delhi on Friday, police said.
The Chankyapuri police station received a PCR call at 1:35 pm about three persons getting injured at the construction site. Thirty-two years old Kanchan was declared brought dead in Primus hospital while Mukesh (33) and Babulal (32) were undergoing treatment. Babulal later succumbed to injuries, according to PTI.
All the workers are natives of Dausa, Rajasthan.
The officer said the three men are not related to each other. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections and further investigation is underway, police told the news agency.
