New Delhi: The three juveniles who were apprehended over the murder of a 19-year-old in Delhi have been sent to a juvenile home and will be in protective custody for 14 days.
A 19-year-old was stabbed to death in Southeast Delhi's Madangir area, in broad daylight on Wednesday.
Two adults have also been arrested for the murder while one is on the run. The victim was stabbed to death by all six people in broad daylight.
People stood by and witnessed the crime. Not a single person came forward to help. The assailants also fired a shot in the air to scare people nearby before attacking the boy.
Police say the victim was running an extortion ring - and the crime was a fall out of an ongoing fued between two rival groups. The crime took place on a day when the cabinet paved the way for juveniles accused of henous crimes to be tried as adults.
