Delhi Police Arrests 13 Suspected JeM Terrorists, IEDs Found
The suspected JeM terrorists were picked up from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh and Inderpuri in Delhi.

The Delhi Police has cracked down on a suspected terror module, arresting at least 13 suspected terrorists, of which eight are from Delhi and four from Uttar Pradesh. Sources told CNN-News18 that a special cell of Delhi Police targeted a homegrown network of Jaish-e-Mohammad.

The 13 arrested are being questioned, following recovery of IEDs from some of them. According to sources, the terror module aimed at attacking sensitive places and major installations in the capital.

Sources said that one radical Muslim youth from Inderpuri in Delhi and another from Saharanpur were picked up in the joint operation by the Intelligence Bureau and Delhi Police. On interrogation it was found that they had been in touch with JeM activist Yousuf Al Hindi, and also claimed to be the terror outfit's activists themselves. Eleven more suspects, who were in their contact, were arrested following their interrogation.

The youth arrested from Delhi was injured after a bomb, which he was allegedly trying to make, exploded.

The crackdown by the Delhi Police began late Tuesday night with five teams conducting raids in Uttar Pradesh and seven in Delhi.

As of now, as many as 12 teams of the Delhi Police Special Cell are conducting raids in several parts of the national capital.
