Demo staged for siblings arrest

BERHAMPUR: The people of Aladigaon village under Purushottampur block staged a dharna in front of the Purushottampur police station demanding arrest of two youths. Sources said over past enmity between two families, two brother Pradeep Acharya and Pravakar (35) barged into the house of one Narayan Panda of the same village and dragged his daughters out. They assaulted them and even attempted rape when hearing their screams, Narayan came out.When he tried to intervene, the two also beat him up till villagers rescued Narayan. Although villagers registered a case, police are yet to nab the two brothers.The villagers were pacified after police assured them to nab the culprits soon.
