Duo held for trafficking

BANGALORE: Central Crime Bureau (CCB) sleuths arrested a couple from Bangaldesh , who were allegedly involved in human trafficking of three Bangladeshi women to brothels here.The accused were identified as Ali Akbar (37) and  his wife Rupa Begum (26). They promised the girls jobs and confined them to a house at Hulimavu. The women, in the age group of 21-25 years, were forced into prostitution, police said.They raided a house at Shankar Nag Road, Gottigere, and arrested the accused. Three mobile phones, two Indian Pan cards, counterfoils of ICICI Bank and cash were recovered from them. The accused charged Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 from  customers for the girls and the accused had availed Pan Cards illegally as they came to India without any passport and visa, police added.
