THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Eram Scientific Solutions, a city-based company which developed e-toilets, which became a hit among the people across the country, was awarded with the Pazhassi Raja National Awards in Maharashtra the other day. The award is instituted by the Pazhassi Raja Charitable Trust to be presented to exceptional contributors to society in various walks of life. Siddeek Ahammed, managing director of Eram Scientific Solutions, received the award from K Shankaranarayanan, Governor of Maharashtra. Other recipients of the award include singer Lata Mangeshkar, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar, media entrepreneur Ramoji Rao, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and hoteliers Capt C P Krishnan Nair and B Ravi Pillai.
