Rotterdam: Roger Federer extended his perfect record against Jarkko Nieminen to 13-0 as he reached the semi-finals of the ABN Amro World Tennis on Friday.
The top-seeded Federer did not face a single break point as he won 7-5, 7-6 (2) for a 13th straight win over Nieminen of Finland in matches stretching back to 2002.
The No. 3-ranked Swiss will face Nikolay Davydenko, who dispatched fifth-seeded Frenchman Richard Gasquet 7-5, 6-3.
Davydenko, who is seeking his first title since winning at Munich in May 2011, already lost to Federer in the season-opening Qatar Open in January and has only won two of his last 18 meetings against the 16-time Grand Slam champion.
Third-seeded Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina reached the semi-finals with a 6-0, 6-1 win over seventh-ranked Viktor Troicki of Serbia.
Del Potro will play second-seeded Tomas Berdych, who ousted Andreas Seppi of Italy 6-3, 6-4 to book his place in the semis.
"He's been playing really well the past two years and has confidence," Del Potro said of facing Berdych. "He's very dangerous on this surface with his forehand. His serve is very strong."
