Fire Service Association Zonal convention

KOCHI: The Kerala Fire Service Association 30th Ernakulam Zonal convention was held at the Kadavanthara Lions Community Hall on Thursday. Hibi Eden MLA inaugurated the function.  The family welfare fund of the association was distributed to the family of fire engine driver Vinod Kumar who died during a rescue operation.The modernisation of the fire and rescue services, creation of vacancies and considering training period as part of service period were the issues discussed in the convention.As part of the programme SSLC scholarships were disbursed to meritorious students. Municipal councillor K J Jacob distributed the scholorships. District president of the association S Harikumar presided over the function.
