Members of Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Hitarakshana Samiti along with the Chalavadi Mahasabha have called for a protest against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa for making derogatory remarks against state BJP president and Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa.
Chairperson of the Samiti Aruna B Annigeri and leaders of samiti from Gadag, Dharwad and Raichur spoke in favour of Eshwarappa here on Monday. “Yeddyurappa has been speaking against Eshwarappa at every possible event. He has gone to the extent of blaming Eshwarappa for his jail term. In fact, Eshwarappa has done injustice to Yeddyurappa,” Aruna claimed.
The members of the samiti announced a protest against the Kuruba community and said that Yeddyurappa should take his statements back. “Yeddyurappa has asked for Eshwarappa’s resignation. This is not right and we will protest against this,” Annigeri added.
