Get groovy with blues

B Flat will present Soulmate (Shillong) on June 22 at 8.30 pm. Soulmate comprising of Rudy Wallang (guitar and vocals) and Tips Khabyangar (guitar and vocals), are arguably India’s most popular blues band ever, having created waves across the country in the last decade. Accompanied by Sam Shullai (drums), Leon Wallang (bass) and Raveen Pandey (keyboard), they will be presenting popular songs from their previous albums and also lots of new material not performed in Bangalore till date.They created history by being the first and only blues band ever to represent India (courtesy - The Blues Club Of India) at the 23rd International Blues Challenge organised by The Blues Foundation of America, Memphis, Tennessee, USA, in February, 2007. Being the semi-finalists, they also performed at The Rum Boogie Cafe (Blues Club of The Year) on Beale Street alongside 150 other bands and musicians from all over the world.They were also part of the International Roots On The Move Festival, 2007 where they performed concerts and workshops all over North East India. The band recently returned from a tour of USA, playing in over fifteen different venues. The phenomenal response they received got them more shows and a bigger tour of The USA in 2011.
