HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Hindi Akademi chairman and former MP Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad has urged the central government to take immediate steps for shifting the Indian Institute of Classical Telugu Language Research Centre from Mysore to Hyderabad keeping the Telugu people's aspirations in view.“It is very unfortunate that the Centre has proposed to set up the research centre for classical Telugu language at Mysore much against the desire of Telugu loving people”, he said on Sunday.Lakshmi Prasad, in a bid to build up a movement, has called upon lovers of the Telugu language across the state to submit memoranda to their respective district collectors seeking transfer of the research centre meant for Telugu classical language from Mysore (Karnataka) to any place in AP.Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has written to Union minister for human resource development Kapil Sibal.Deputy chief minister C Damodar Rajanarsimha pointed out former TN chief minister M Karunanidhi succeeded in getting research centre for Tamil classical language shifted from Mysore to Chennai.
