Govt rules out Naxal hand in Maruti plant violence
A top Home Ministry official said this conclusion has come after a probe looked into all angles.

New Delhi: The Centre on Thursday ruled out involvement of Maoists in July 18 violence in Maruti's Manesar plant that claimed the life of a senior executive.

A top Home Ministry official said this conclusion has come after a probe looked into all angles, including the possibility of Maoists link to the violence.

"There was no Maoist link into the violence in Maruti plant. We have investigated from all angles," the official said.

The inquiry was ordered after Maruti Chairman RC Bhargava described the violence as a "class attack" and said that the incident was handiwork of "extreme Left wing elements".

"These were Left-wing extreme elements who incited violence at Maruti. It was a conspiracy which was kept within a small group of people," he had said appearing in a panel discussion on a TV Channel last week.
