Green walkathon held by INS members

CHENNAI: Members of the Indian Naval Service (INS) participated in a walkathon on the occasion of World Environment Day at the INS premises, at 5.30am on Sunday. Over 150 navy personnel participated in the walkathon, which began at the INS premises and continued along the Beach Road. The procession was followed by a tree plantation drive at INS, in which nearly 50 trees were planted.Commodore Rajiv Girotra, Naval Officer in charge of Tamilnadu and Puducherry, flagged off the event.
