BANGALORE: The High Court on Thursday reserved its orders on the interim prayer petition filed by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa seeking to quash the proceedings against him. The court adjourned the main petition as counsel for advocate Sirajin Basha filed a memo seeking a week’s extension to represent the matter. Hashmath Pasha, Basha’s advocate, submitted a memo to Justice B S Patil that the respondent has filed objections to the interim prayer but not to the main matter. “On Sep 27, 2011, the petitioner filed a memo to withdraw some of the prayers in the writ petition and the court has not passed any order on it; hence, the respondent is unable to file objections,” Pasha said. Justice Patil, however, refused to grant more time. When the counsel objected to it, Justice Patil said, “ If you want me to not hear the matter, file a memo. I can understand all this.” He later adjourned proceedings on the case by a week. Fresh Plea Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa filed a fresh petition in the HC to quash summons of a lower court in the third complaint filed against him by Basha. Basha had filed five private complaints against Yeddyurappa, following which the lower court had issued summons to him on complaint number 3.
