Fans of Prabhas and Rana Daggubati will be happy to read that the magnum opus 'Baahubali' is progressing briskly. The latest news is that the team has gone to Bulgaria for shooting.

The reason behind such a far away location is, according to sources, that some critical scenes need to be shot in the backdrop of maize fields. Initially, the team had zeroed on Ramoji Film City for the shoot, but due to the recent unexpected rains, the maize field got washed away and no longer looked lush. But in Bulgaria, the maize fields look lush and healthy.

Apart from the fields, certain other locations in Bulgaria are perfect for war sequences as well, we have learnt.

If one looks at films like 'Gladiator' and '300' we can only imagine how rich the scene in 'Baahubali' would look.

'Baahubali' the two-part Indian epic will release Telugu and then be dubbed in Malayalam, Hindi and some foreign languages. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah in the key roles.
