They discussed the issue of terrorism emanating from Pakistan.

New Delhi: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday called on veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L K Advani at his residence in the Capital and discussed a host of issues, including India-US relations and terrorism emanating from Pakistan.

Hillary Clinton went to Advani's residence after a lunch Prime Minister Manmohan Singh hosted in her honour.

Advani, who is the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, expressed optimism about the future of Indo-US relationships and voiced concern over alleged use of terrorism by Pakistan against India, party sources said.

Hillary Clinton recalled her husband Bill Clinton's landmark visit to India in 2000 that opened doors for transformation of relations between the two countries when a BJP-led government was in power.
