New Delhi: IBNLive.com has just added another feather to its two-and-a-half-year-old cap by winning PC World India's Best News Website Award for the year 2008. And by doing so, the website has kept the tradition going, having bagged the inaugural award last year.

In an ever-burgeoning Internet space, this toddler website has managed to hold its ground and given some of the older established players a click for their mouse.

And the second consecutive PC World India Awards, which recognized the best websites across 31 popular categories, only validates the point that in the cluttered news space, IBNLive.com has “whatever it takes” to stay on top.

“Exceptional layout”, “engaging design”, “good navigation, interconnectivity and search mechanism” weren’t the only categories in which the news website scored. Its structure, navigation and framework also helped it stay way ahead of competitors.

For the jury, it wasn’t all about design and technology, though. In a “content is king” world, the jury acknowledged that IBNLive.com, “as far as content goes the scope here is much wider than just news and it keeps you occupied for hours”.

Rediff.com won the second place while Hindustan Times came in third.

In April, IBNLive.com was named an Official Honoree in the news category of the 12th Annual Webby Awards, considered the Oscars of the Internet.
