BHUBANESWAR: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old boy died when he slipped into an open water tank on the premises of the official residence of Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena here on Tuesday. The child, Mohan, is the son of Jena’s cook Rabindra. Source said Mohan was attracted by some floating object in the tank on Jena’s house premises and came out of the outhouse. In an attempt to collect it he is believed to have slipped into the tank. The tank was reportedly used to store water for gardening. On finding the boy missing, the parents searched for him and found him floating in the tank. The Mayor is out of station.
