New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) conducted the much hyped auction of top international players in Mumbai.

So is cricket now as rich as other international sports?

Mahendra Singh Dhoni went for a whopping $ 600 that is almost Rs 6 crore for just 16 matches.

At number two is Andrew Symonds, he was bought at Rs 5.4 crores. Even as these numbers surprise us, in front of the cash flow at the international level, these numbers look like peanuts.

For example the world's highest paid athlete is Tiger Woods. He takes home a cool Rs 45 crore per year.

At number three is punching his way in is Oscar De la Hoya with an earning of Rs 22 crore.

Other big names like seven-time formula one world champion Michael Schumacher is at number five with Rs 36 million.

And if we are talking big bucks then here is another one to remember. Manchester United is the world’s richest club with an incredible $1,453 million or simply put an incredible Rs 5,812 crore.

What's your reaction?
