NEDUMBASSERY: A delegation representing Holy Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I arrived at Kochi International Airport here from Damascus on Saturday. The delegation included assistant to Holy Patriarc Archbishop Mor Philixinos Mathai, Secretary Abunamat Alkhoori and Malankara Church Affairs Secretary Karimbanakkal Mathew Ramban.The high-level delegation was received by Jacobite Church Episcopal Synod Secretary Metropolitan Joseph Mar Gregorios, Metropolitans Elias Mar Athanasios, Geevarghese Mar Coorilose and Isaac Mar Osthatios, Abraham Kothakeril Cor Episcopa and Church Managing Committee member C Y Varghese. The visiting metropolitans will be celebrants at the consecration ceremony of newly constructed Mar Aprem Church in Vadavathoor. They will also visit Puthencruz, Manjinikkara, Kuttichira and Thuruthussery churches. The delegation has come as the guest of Catholicos Thomas I.
