The accused, identified as Javed Khan, was later arrested by the police.
Talking to ETV, Khan said that he was innocent and he was framed.
He said that he has asked for a CBI probe into the case and even showed a letter he sent to the investigative agency.
Khan is an accused in the murder of a real estate agent on the outskirts of the town about a last year.
Javed Khan, the President of the CM's Friday election meet, was arrested and produced before the Judicial Magistrate and sent to jail.
