Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Tuesday showered praise on Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar describing them as "champion of social justice" and "symbol of development" respectively and said joining of two hands would generate a political vitality in the country.
"Both have worked for championing the cause of social justice and welfare of poor. Lalu Prasad gave voice to poor who during his regime dared to knock the door of even senior officers without any fear," Manjhi told reporters hailing alliance of JD(U), RJD and Congress for bypoll on 10 seats.
"Nitish Kumar took development work to a newer heights," Manjhi who succeded Kumar on the CM chair in May this year after he quit in the wake of debacle in general election, said.
Manjhi has distinction of working as minister in the successive governments of Congress, RJD and JD(U) before himself becoming CM.
"Joining of two hands (Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar) will generate a new 'rajnitik chetna' (political vitality) in the country," the CM said.
He came down heavily against BJP who he alleged won votes of people on false promises.
Later, in Patna, Manjhi said given a chance he would love to share dais with Lalu Prasad and Nitish Kumar in any election rally.
Manjhi is expected to hit the campaign from Wednesday from Sasaram.
