Srinagar: Two Army jawans have been injured in a fierce gunbattle between terrorists and security forces in Tangmarg area of Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Security forces launched a search operation in Kanchipora village of Tangmarg, following information about presence of two terrorists in the area, a police official said.
Exchange of fire between the two sides started at 6:30 AM but so far no casualties were reported from either side, he said. The forces also blasted one of the houses in which the terrorists were suspected to be hiding.
The gunbattle started just hours after suspected terrorists hurled a grenade on an Army camp in Pulwama, injuring one jawan.
