BANGALORE: The bodies of two newly born baby boy and girl were found abandoned near Satellite Bus Station on Mysore Road on Friday evening.According to the police, the bodies were packed in a bag that was found abandoned near the compound of the bus station. When some passersby grew suspicious and checked, they found bodies inside. Later, they informed police. It is estimated that the babies were born a few hours before their bodies were found. They were shifted to Victoria Hospital mortuary, the police said.It is said that a woman, who seemed to be a staff of a hospital, came in an auto rickshaw and abandoned the bag near the compound.Byatarayanapura police have registered a case and are investigating.Drunkards Set Friend AblazeBangalore: A mechanic died after his friends allegedly set him ablaze in Chikkamaranahalli in Sanjaynagar police station limits late on Thursday night. The police have arrested four persons in connection with the incident.The victim has been identified as Babu (26), while Mukunda (42), Manjunath (30), Shivakumar (27) and Venkatesh (25) are the arrested persons. All the four are residents of Chikkamaranahalli and surrounding areas.According to the police, the friends had consumed alcohol on Thursday night and Babu picked up a quarrel with Mukunda over financial dispute. Raged by this, Mukunda along with his associates poured petrol on Babu and set him on fire. Though he was admitted to a hospital he succumbed.The accused persons were arrested immediately, the police said. Sanjaynagar police have registered a case and are investigating. Male nurse ends lifeBangalore: Dejected over being cheated by a girl, a male nursing student committed suicide by hanging at his hostel room near Royan Circle in Central police station limits on Friday afternoon.The deceased has been identified as K Raju (23), a second year General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) student at Victoria Hospital. He was a native of Kesthur village in Tumkur district.According to the police, Raju had gone to the Hospital on Friday morning and had returned to hostel by afternoon. At around 2 pm, his friends noticed him hanging from the ceiling of his room and informed the police.“Raju has written in his diary that no one should fall in love with a nurse. It is suspected that he was in love and the girl might have cheated him. It is suspected that dejected over this, he might have taken the extreme step. However, investigations are on to ascertain the exact reason,” the police added.Later, an autopsy was conducted at Victoria Hospital mortuary and the body was handed over to his parents.Central police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.
