Karnataka HC asks state government to drop Muslim DC's name from temple invite
The Karnataka High Court has directed reprinting of the cards without his name.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has directed the state government to drop the Muslim DC's name from the invitation card for the controversial Puttur temple festival.

A division bench has ordered the same while hearing a petition by devotees from Puttur, who questioned the inclusion of IAS officer AB Ibrahim's name, pointing that it was against the endowment act of the government.

According to the state government, it is a protocol they were following. The petitioners argued that protocol can't be above the law, and that the inclusion of the names of non-Hindus would be an embarrassment to them.
