They are plying more more buses to Kerala this festive season of Onam.According to Afzal, president of the Omni Bus Operators Association, 10 additional buses, apart from the regular services for Kerala, would be augmented for the next week.“The fares for the Onam special buses operated to clear the extra rush will be 10 to 15 per cent higher than the routine services, as these buses are brought from other places for this purpose,” he said. The extra charges are meant to meet the fuel expenses of the buses that are driven to Chennai from various other destinations, he further explained.Meanwhile, the special trains announced by the Southern Railway to meet the growing demand of passengers traveling to Kerala for Onam were filled in no time.
