The prime accused in the murder of retired assistant deputy engineer D Madhava Reddy at NG College grounds was arrested, Nalgonda DSP Vijaykumar said. Two others have also been taken into custody.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, the DSP said that the accused murdered the retired engineer, who is his paternal uncle, over some land dispute.
The arrested—Komatireddy Dasaradha Reddy, Nalaparaju Rajesh and Mandala Balaraju—belong to Nalgonda town. For the last seven years, there was a dispute on some land at Brahmana Vellemla in Narketpally mandal between the families of Dasaradha and Madhava Reddy. A heated arguement over the land made Dasaradha Reddy bear a grudge against the deceased and he decided to murder him.
