Led Zeppelin rocks British politicians
Led Zeppelin's classic Led Zeppelin II has topped the poll of British politicians’ favourite album.

Washington: It seems the musical tastes of Britain's politicians are stuck mostly in the 1970s.

A recent poll conducted to find their favourite album, was topped by Led Zeppelin's 1969 classic Led Zeppelin II.

The rock veterans’ album beat back competition from three Beatles’s album Revolver (1966), Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) and The White Album (1968), which came second, third and fourth respectively, reports Contactmusic.

The politicians were asked to name their favourite disc to coincide with the London opening of a British library display celebrating 50 years of the album chart.
