Mumbai: Two months after its global unveiling, LG has launched its new flagship smartphone - the LG G3 - in India. In India, the LG G3 comes with a price tag of Rs 47,990 for the 16GB version and Rs 50,990 for 32GB. It will be available in three colours.
LG G3 is being launched in India with Rs 15,000 worth of consumer offers. LG is offering a discount of Rs 5,000 on the LG G Watch when bought along with the G3. The offer also includes Rs 3,500 worth QuickCircle Case free and an one time screen replacement worth Rs 6,500.
The LG G3 has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 538ppi, which the company says is four times the resolution of HD and almost two times higher resolution than a full HD display. The LG G3 boasts a screen ratio of 76.4 per cent with thin bezels.
Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with a clock speed of up to 2.5GHz. It has 3GB of RAM.
Its 13 megapixel rear camera with OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus) includes the Laser Auto Focus system, which is claimed to shoot sharp images in a fraction of the time required by conventional phone cameras.
LG says the G3's 2.1 megapixel front camera incorporates several new enhancements such as a larger image sensor and larger aperture for more light throughput; the result could be your improved selfies. The company has added gesture controls in the standard timed selfie mode - when ready to shoot, simply clench your hand into a fist and the G3 will recognise the gesture and begin the automatic three-second countdown.
The phone has a polished metallic skin on the rear cover that is fingerprint-proof. The LG G3 comes packed with a 3,000mAh removable battery and 1W speaker.
The LG G3 offers a the LG G3 offers a number of security features, including Knock Code that enables users to unlock their device with a pattern of taps and Content Lock that keeps personal files safe and hidden from view when sharing the G3 with others.
