A team of Maharashtra police searched the house of Dayanandrao Baburao Patil (34), an injured in the serial explosions that rocked Pune on Wednesday night, at Kohinoor village in Basavakalyan taluk in the district on Thursday morning.
Dileep Patil, the brother of Dayanad Patil, told mediapersons that the police collected information about Dayanand and went back. A team of Bidar police officers and intelligence sleuths also visited Dayanand’s house.
The family members told Maharashtra police that Dayanand left the village 16 years ago. He got a passport in 2000 and flew to Jordan in 2004, and returned home after working there as a garment maker for 10 months. He got married in 2008 and went to Mumbai to continue his profession. He had been working at a tailor shop in Pune for the last three years.
Villagers are not in touch with Dayanand as the latter has been out of the village for more than a decade. His family members tried to call him up as his footages were shown in TV channels, but in vain. Some of the villagers who live in Pune were not allowed by police to meet him at a hospital. Dayanand, is being questioned by police in connection with the blast at Bal Gandharva Theatre Square to find how the explosives found their way into his carry bag.
