Male infant, foetus found dead in Musi

HYDERABAD:  A body of a newborn male and a dead foetus were found in Musi river near Amberpet on Thursday.Locals performed the last rites of the two, who police suspect have been abandoned by their parents.The locals found the body and the foetus in the river waters near the newly constructed bridge that connects Golnaka and Malakpet.They alerted the police, who reached the site and conducted a preliminary investigation.“One of the bodies is an aborted foetus.It cannot be ascertained as a male or female as the body parts have not yet developed,” Amberpet police inspector A Srinivas said.After police completed their formalities, locals buried the dead in an open area nearby.
