Man held for forging birth certificates

KOCHI:  The police on Monday arrested V S Radhakrishnan, 43, of Kuzhuppilly, Vypeen, for forging birth certificates to facilitate the sale of children at 'Snehalayam,' a home for destitute run by Abdul Hakkim and Premalatha at Paravur.While working as a lower division clerk at Alangad grama panchayat, Radhakrishnan misused the office seals of the panchayat and put duplicate signature of the panchayat secretary to issue fake certificates. Hakkim and Premalatha have already been arrested.
