Two speeding luxury cars crashed into a cab while allegedly racing on the Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai on Sunday evening. No injuries were reported in the accident, however, the two luxury cars – a Mercedes and a BMW – along with the private taxi – a Wagon R – suffered huge damage.

Visuals showed the Mercedes with a damaged bonnet while the BMW was damaged on its rear. The collision led to a traffic jam on the fifth-longest bridge in the country. Notably, the speed limit on the sea link is 80 kmph.

According to reports, the two cars lost control while speeding on the sea link and hit the Wagon R from behind. The cab, which had a family of four, including a 10-year-old child inside, overturned with the impact. The occupants of the cab did not suffer any serious injuries in the accident, police said.

In this case, a case of culpable homicide has been registered at Worli Police Station and both the accused Shahbaz Khan and Tariq Chaudhary have been arrested and are investigating the case further.
