BANGALORE: CNBC-TV18 presents Ministers of Change, an exclusive series focused on new models of development, inclusivity and reforms that have emerged in some of India’s largest and strategically critical states such as Gujarat, Bihar, Rajasthan and Orissa.These states represent a remarkable story of growth and upheaval amidst tremendous challenges. At one end is Gujarat, a state that epitomises Indian enterprise, which has made landmark moves in its developmental journey under Narendra Modi. On the other end is Bihar, India’s enfant terrible which has shown strong signs of progress and transformation, from the edge of despair to times full of hope and vigor under Nitish Kumar. Orissa is another interesting phenomenon, where Industrial progress and social development have the potential to uplift millions out of poverty and disease but only after it tackles the challenges posed by the threat of environmental degradation and displacement of communities.Rajasthan’s rise beyond its hallowed status as India’s tourist hotbed is another study in pragmatic leadership.Through a mix of interviews and on-ground reportage, the documentary- feature highlights social, developmental and business success stories. The series will be aired on Thursday at 7.30 pm, Saturday at 9.30 pm and Sunday at 9 pm.
