HYDERABAD: The southwest monsoon, which has set over Rayalaseema, would take at least three more days to spread over Telangana and coastal Andhra, according to the Meteorological department. MeT officials said that cloudy weather would prevail in the Telangana and coastal Andhra regions due to a low-pressure area formed over the Arabian Sea.Weathermen said light to moderate rain occurred in various places in Rayalaseema and 9 mm rainfall was reported from Anantapur from 10 a.m till 7.30 p.m on Saturday.“The south-west monsoon has now arrived and centralised over the Rayalaseema region. It will take at least three more days to spread over the whole of Telangana and coastal Andhra. Rain, however, may occur in some places in Telangana and coastal Andhra regions due to formation of a low-pressure area over the Arabian Sea,” officials said.Meanwhile, the maximum day temperatures have gradually decreased across the state in most places.
