MP minister slams Digvijaya for raking up Modi's personal life

Madhya Pradesh minister Kailash Vijaywargiya, on Friday, objected to Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh's tweet about Narendra Modi's wife and asked him not to interfere in the personal life of the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate.

"Digvijaya should talk about issues related to power and ideological matters. He should stop interfering in opposition leaders' personal lives. By commenting on Modi, he has damaged his reputation," Urban Administration and Development Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya told reporters.

In a recent tweet, Digvijaya had stated, "Modi accepts his marital status. Can women of this country trust a man who stalks a woman, deprives his wife of her right?"

The minister also termed Digvijaya's allegation that the BJP government tried to pass on Congress-initiated welfare schemes as its own for which it got money from the Centre.

"Under the federal structure, every state government gets assistance from the Centre and from states also, a large amount of central taxes are collected. Therefore, by helping the states, the Centre is not doing any obligation. In any case, we are using government of India's money and not that of the Italian government," he said.
