Murshidabad’s Beloved Doctor And Activist, Dr Anirban Dutt, Dies At 37
Dr Anirban Dutta actively worked for WBDF, a medical organisation. Besides treatment, he was also associated with music and drama.

Renowned doctor Dr Anirban Dutt, who became famous for his protest songs against the negative comments and false accusations of doctors, passed away on Tuesday, June 25. He died due to cardiac arrest at the age of 37. He was a doctor at the Murshidabad Medical College Hospital. His death has cast a shadow of grief on the entire medical community. This doctor is a resident of Sagardighi in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. He studied Medical Science at North Bengal Medical College Hospital. After that, he did MD PGT Pathology from Ramakrishna Mission Seva Institution Hospital. He was a doctor in the pathological department of Murshidabad Medical College Hospital.

He has actively worked for WBDF, a medical organisation. Besides treatment, he was also associated with music and drama. As per Times Now Bengali, Dr Anirban Dutta has been suffering from a stomach problem since Monday, June 24. He vomited several during that time. He reportedly left the bed and slept on the ground, saying he was feeling hot. In the morning, when his wife came to wake him up, he had already passed away. Many people said that they were unaware that Dr Anirban Dutta was sick. Many even conversed with Dr Anirban a day before his death and he appeared fine, as quoted by Times Now Bengali.

He was admitted to Murshidabad Medical College Hospital in Berahampore. He died during treatment on Tuesday. Dr Anirban Dutta left behind his wife and family at the time of his death. Doctors and nurses paid their last respects at Murshidabad Medical College Hospital.

During the 2020 COVID pandemic, Dr Arniban Dutt’s video replying to the Bengali Singer Nachiketa’s song in which he was pleasing for help from a doctor went viral. He has sung self-composed songs against issues like dengue, injustice towards doctors, treatment, patient care and many more. He was loved by his colleagues and friends because of his kind nature.
