New Delhi: After a 12-year-old girl was found hanging inside her home in the Inderpuri area of the capital on Friday, the father of the victim has claimed that the girl was raped and murdered.
He also blamed the police of tampering with the evidence and even alleged that they forced him to perform her last rites.
The police has however dismissed the father's claims and said that the postmortem shows no signs of external injuries or sexual assault.
They also alleged that the girl may have committed suicide as she had many altercations with her father.
The police has also clarified that no suicide note was recovered from the place of the incident.
The police also claimed that they took the body to the crematorium on the family's request.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Commission for Women has also accused the police of tampering with evidence.
