BERHAMPUR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has failed miserably to do any good for the State and corruption during his tenure has crossed all limits, said OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik.Niranjan was attending the protest meeting in front of Revenue Divisional Commissioner, southern division, office here on Friday. Addressing a gathering of over 10,000 activists he said Naveen government did nothing beyond assurances. While the ruling party thinks that it enjoys peoples’ support but in reality the BJD government, deep in scams, is losing voters’ support, he said. He assured that negligence shown by the BJD government would be sorted out once the Congress comes to power. Talking about the deteriorating law and order Niranjan said police firing in Kodala is Ganjam, the home district of Naveen, goes on to explain the situation.He said Congress welcomes setting up of industries but not on the cost of people. He announced that after Congress comes to power the Tata Steel, which has acquired 3,000 acres of land in Ganjam, will either work to establish its mega steel plant or will return the acquired lands. Among others OPCC working presidents Chandrasekhar Sahu, Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra and senior leaders Sarat Kar and Bhagaban Gantayat were present. Earlier in the day, Niranjan was given a rousing reception at Congress Bhawan here.
