Gangster Nayeem’s close associate, a 35- year-old realtor, who was involved in the murder of Patolla Goverdhan Reddy, was arrested by the Task Force police here on Wednesday. Police seized a dagger from him.
Acting on a tip-off, the Task Force police arrested G Nagesh alias Anil, a real estate businessman residing near Pochamma temple in Gemini Colony in Musheerabad.
He was also wanted in the case of Sridhar Reddy registered by the Pahadishareef police station.
The accused, born and bought up at Ramnagar in the city, studied up to SSC and was involved in various offences. In1993 he was arrested by the CCS in a chainsnatching case.
He was arrested again in 2001 along with one Anjaiah alias Anjanna for extortion in Ramgopalpet police limits and a weapon was seized from him.
In 2005, he was involved, along with Patolla Goverdhan Reddy, Narayana Reddy and Damodar Reddy, in a case of the murder of Satynarayana, a resident behind Chermas at Ameerpet, at Ramachandrapuram.
Later, he, along with Mammidi Prashanth Reddy, Mohammed Ahmed, Edela Narender and Kandukuri Srinivas, murdered Patolla Goverdhan Reddy.
