TIRUCHY: KN Ramajeyam, brother of former DMK Minister KN Nehru, who was arrested by the Kochi police on Monday, was brought to the city on Tuesday. He was later sent to the Palayamkottai Central Prison after being produced in the Judicial Magistrate Court-IV.Ramajeyam was kept at the police community hall at KK Nagar after being brought from Kochi. Magistrate Pushparani remanded him to judicial custody for 15 days. Later, he was taken to the Palayamkottai prison.Ramajeyam is one of the co-accused in an alleged land grab for the construction of Kalaignar Arivalayam, the party headquarters here, according to a complaint from Dr Srinivasan.According to the complainant, 11 persons, including ex-minister KN Nehru, his brother Ramajeyam, Deputy Mayor M Anbalgam and Kudamuritti T Sekar, forcibly acquired 13,290 sq ft of land for the construction of Kalaignar Arivalayam.
